12 foreigners, working illegally as security guards, were nabbed by the Johor Immigration Department in ‘Ops ID’ at a housing area in Kulai Jaya last night.
The foreigners comprised four Indonesians, three Nepalese, two Sri Lankans, two Indians and a Pakistani.
One of those detained claimed he had used a fake IC to get the job as a security guard at an elite residential area six months ago.
Other offences recorded include not having work permits, overstaying and abusing their social visit passes.
All those detained were sent to the Home Ministry’s complex in Taman Setia Tropika for further action.
