Sabah police smashed a drug trafficking syndicate after raiding a workshop in Jalan Kolombong, Kota Kinabalu on Wednesday.
During the 3pm raid, police recovered 3.9 kilogrammes of syabu valued at about one million ringgit.
Five local men aged between 28 and 41, were detained.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the workshop had been used as a drug distribution centre.
During the raid, police also seized 465,000 ringgit in cash, a pistol and 12 rubber bullets.
Eight luxury cars and three motorcycles valued at around 1.5 million ringgit were also confiscated.
The case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act which carries the death penalty upon conviction.
