Eight pole dancers, all foreign women, were nabbed by the Johor Immigration Department at a nightspot in Johor Bahru early this morning.
In the raid at Taman Setia Indah the five Indonesians and three Filipino women, were also found without valid travel documents and have been abusing their social visit passes.
It was understood that the women, aged between 19 and 30, were hired to perform erotic shows to attract customers.
A man, in his late 40s, believed to be the premise owner, were also held for employing foreigners without permit.
All those detained were taken to the Home Ministry complex at Taman Setia Tropika for further action.
