Nearly 300 drivers were issued summonses for various traffic offences during a joint operation conducted by the Road Transport Department JPJ, the National Anti-Drugs Agency AADK and the Road Safety Department JKJR at the Mines toll plaza in Kuala Lumpur last night.
They were booked for offences which include driving with expired road tax, having heavily tinted windscreen and undertaking modification on their vehicles.
19 vehicles were impounded for not having valid roadtax while three road users were hauled up by the AADK after they tested positive for drugs.
They have been detained for further investigation.
More than 1,500 vehicles were inspected during the operation.
