On Sunday, the darling of Malaysian sports Datuk Nicol David beat her Egyptian nemesis Raneem El Weleily for her eighth CIMB Malaysian Open title at the Curve Mutiara Damansara.
The win was Nicol’s 67th WSA title.
She has been the World No.1 and has been inducted in the Squash Hall of Fame.
Another victory was by upcoming 14-year-old diver Nur Dhabitah Sabri who won the individual platform event at the Asian Diving Cup, upstaging favourite China’s Loh Zhiayi .
On Saturday, Nur Dhabitah and Traisy Viven Tukiet won the 10m platform synchro which was her second gold medal at the Toa Payoh Swimming Complex, Singapore.
