Two Iran nationals have been given the death sentence for trafficking in methamphetamine three years ago.
The Shah Alam High Court today, found trader, 56 yer old Ramezani Hassan, and his unemployed friend, Ali Akhbar Dallak Ghadir, guilty of trafficking in 1.45 kg and 1.3 kg of the drugs respectively.
The duo committed the offence at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport’s baggage claim area at 5pm on December 20, 2010.
Judge Datuk Nurchaya Arshad, in her decision, said the two failed to raise any reasonable doubt when called for to give their defence.
A total of seven prosecution witnesses and two defence witnesses testified during the trial.
