Police have crippled two drug syndicates in two separates locations on Wednesday.
Over 47 kilograms of syabu and heroin worth 8.5 million ringgit were seized and three local men were arrested.
In the first case two chinese men, aged 36 and 66, were arrested at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport KLIA arrival hall.
The two suspects apparently left a luggage bag outside a shop in the airport.
Upon inspection, 12 plastic bags, believed to contain 12.7 kilogram of syabu, were found.
The following day, authorities seized two more bags belonging to the two suspects at the “Lost and Found” counter and found 34.5 kilograms of syabu inside the two bags.
In another case, police arrested a 40 year old man in Damansara and seized 81 grams of heroin hidden inside a vacuum cleaner.
They also found 423 units of motor parts and centrifugal pumps with traces of heroin powder.
All three suspects are being remanded to facilitate investigation under Section 39 (B) of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
