A senior manager from Petronas was back in the dock again for corruption.
Ishak Hashim was charged at the Alor Setar Sessions Court today for accepting a 13,800 ringgit bribe from a company to secure a contract supplying liquefied petroleum gas in June 2008.
The 47-year-old also faced a second charge of accepting a 200 ringgit bribe from two company directors from Erision Chem Sdn Bhd for each lorry transporting the natural gas liquid.
The offence was allegedly committed between June 15th and 20th 2006 when he was the logistics manager for the gathering of crude oil.
The offences are punishable under Section 16 of the Anti Corruption Act 1997 by a maximum jail term of 20 years and a fine of not less than five times the bribe amount or 10,000 ringgit whichever is higher.
Last Friday, Ishak was charged with three counts of corruption at the KL Sessions Court involving at least 23,000 ringgit.
