Eight foreign women were nabbed in a raid at a seafood restaurant in Jalan Meldrum, Johor Bahru last night.
During the 11.30pm operation, the women, from Thailand and Indonesia, were believed to be sex workers.
Two men believed to be owners of the eatery were also nabbed.
All those detained were later taken to the Johor immigration office for further action.
The case is being investigated under the Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Anti-Smuggling of Migrants Act 2007 and the Immigration Act 1959.
