A Pakistani security guard was charged at the Ampang Magistrate’s Court today with the murder of an American pastor last month.
Shahbaz, aged 25, with four others who are still at large, was accused of murdering 62 year old David James Ginter.
According to reports, the victim was found dead with his hands and legs tied up and neck strangled using the cable of a hand phone charger.
The offence was allegedly committed at the victim’s house in Taman Sri Ukay, Hulu Kelang, Ampang Jaya between 5.30pm on May 3rd and 10.45am the following day.
No plea was recorded from the accused who faces the mandatory death sentence if convicted under the Penal Code.
Magistrate Ayuni Izzaty Sulaiman fixed July 18 for mention pending the post-mortem report.
At the same court, Shahbaz was also sentenced to three months jail after he pleaded guilty to overstaying in the country.
Ayuni ordered the accused to serve his sentence from today.
