A foreign worker was found dead with his throat sliced open at a shophouse in Section 25, Shah Alam, Selangor today.
The body was discovered by one of his housemates, after hearing the victim scream at 1.40pm.
The witness said he had just come out of the bathroom when he stumbled upon the body sprawled on the floor in a pool of blood.
Police said the victim was a 24 year old Indian national identified as Alavudeeb Jafarali, who had worked at a nearby restaurant since three years ago.
According to forensics, a kitchen knife was found in one of the victim’s hand.
Police have taken down statements from six others who also lived in the unit to find out if the incident was associated with murder.
