A Nigerian salesman was given the death penalty by the Shah Alam High Court today after he was found guilty of trafficking drugs two years ago.
Judge Noor Azian Shaari meted out the sentence on Uchenna Paul Nwokolo after the defence failed to raise reasonable doubts in the case.
In his ruling, the judge said elements of the charge had been successfully proven by the prosecution through the testimony of all the witnesses.
The 35-year-old was arrested, after authorities discovered over a kilogramme of syabu hidden in his luggage upon his arrival at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport on August 19.
